Description of Course: |
The Level 3 BTEC National Certificate is a two-year course. This qualification is equivalent to two A Levels but will be timetabled in one option block. The BTEC National in Sport has been developed to meet the employment opportunities within the sport and leisure industry that include:-

Entry Guidelines:
Candidates must have a keen interest and enthusiasm for sport, exercise and leisure. Candidates will be expected to have studied GCSE Physical Education and gained a Grade B or above, or they will have passed the BTEC First in Sport at merit level (equivalent Level 2 qualification) and gained a minimum of 5 GCSEs Grade A to C. |

Assessment: The course does not involve any examinations; pupils are assessed by internally and externally set assignments in each of the 12 units.
