Description of Course:
The course is structured to enable students to develop a greater understanding of human knowledge and behaviour by examining a wide range of topical issues which effect society now and which will have a significant impact in the future. The approach is interdisciplinary and will integrate knowledge and issues from a range of disciplines rather than being confined to discreet subject knowledge. Students will be given the opportunity to develop their own critical interpretation of issues, discuss and present their own ideas and become more aware of the strengths and weakness of the different types of evidence they use. It particularly supports subjects like Media Studies, Sociology, Economics, Business Studies, Government & Politics, Environmental Science and English
