Possible Career Pathways: |
| Art and Design studies are chosen not only by those seeking an art career, but also by those who wish to develop their potential in this area as an additional study. Careers in Art and Design are varied, but all are concerned with improving the man-made environment, for example book design and illustration, furniture and interiors, TV graphics, video, fabrics and countless other items of everyday use. 'A' Level studies are the desired and logical route to higher education in Art and Design, as recommended by the Art Colleges; those interested in architecture and some forms of engineering and media should also consider the course. |
Further Advice: |
| This course is initially about being experimental, it is about taking risks and trying out new ideas. You will be building up a range of approaches that can be used to extend your understanding of Art and Design. It is about developing a greater awareness and confidence in art, enabling you to be reflective and creative. Be sure that you are committed to one/two years of demanding study and be prepared to undertake further study out of school on a regular basis. |
